Description

The Lithium Battery Ion/Metal Blank Label is required by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on packages containing Lithium Batteries. Starting January 1st, 2019 this new design is required on shipping cartons containing Lithium Batteries. This universal design can be used on both Lithium Ion and Lithium Metal batteries. The line available allows the UN number to be filled in using a pen or permanent marker. This allows for the label to be used for all Class 9 (miscellaneous dangerous goods). For example, UN 3090 Lithium Metal Batteries or UN 3480 Lithium Ion Batteries, as well as UN 3091 and 3481 for batteries packed inside equipment, or packed with equipment.
